Mt Gulugod Baboy, Bauan, Batangas

Mt Gulugod Baboy in Bauan, Batangas

Arrived in Cebu from Bohol (along with my grannies) on a Saturday afternoon, and my flight is scheduled for Sunday. I was thinking there wasn't really much to do in the city (especially for the 3 aged fellows with me) so i decided to rebook the flight to saturday; Only problem I have with that was.. where to go for Sunday?

A friend is scheduled to go to Mt Romelo, but as his post said, it has been cancelled. Luckily, there was Mt Gulugod Baboy as an alternative from another group.

It was around 2am when I got him in Manila, and by 5am, had to be in Buendia terminal. As I was so tired though, it was almost 5am when I woke up, and cab got me to Buendia by 5:30. We left the terminal at some minutes past 6.

It was past 8am when we got to Batangas City central terminal, and waited for 2 more people. From there, we rented a jeep that will drop and pick us from the jumpoff and back to the terminal. It was almost 11am when we hit the trail.

Some little trekking and we could feel the heat of the sunlight. We had to break every so often. So, instead of burning myself in the trail, I decided to burn on the Gin I bought at the foot of the hill; Well I shared the gin with another so we finished the bottle in no tiime.. something to keep us cool and happy along the trail :-)

and some blurry pics from the wash up session
During washup, the resort fronting the jump off wanted to charge us P60 per head plus P300 for the cottage. We have repeatedly explained that we don't use a cottage as we are just going to wash up, but old lad refused to waive the charge. We ended up applying alternatives, and found a P30 washup nearby - Sunshine Resort.

For the Resort, you may contact the caretaker, kuya nestor at 09164995851 or 09295835045.

For the jeep, contact kuya Russell: 09486109135. We haggled for P1500 for the back and forth trip, though we added a little.
